Alejandro Sanz released "Yo era poesía" as a new single on 7 August 2026, a collaboration with Mexican singer-songwriter Eden Muñoz produced by Richi López that adds accordion and regional Mexican elements to Sanz's pop. [1] The song's official video, shot in Madrid in June 2026 and directed by Gus Carballo, premiered alongside the single on 7 August 2026. [2] The track was written at Sanz's home in Miami during a visit by Muñoz, where the pair set up a makeshift studio, and its lyric reworks Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer's line "Poesía eres tú". [3]
