Why it's here

It was written by Mylène Farmer and Laurent Boutonnat, who spotted Alizée's talent-show win and brought her into their new project, casting her as a seductive Lolita figure referencing Nabokov's novel. [1] NME praised it as pop 'as pop should be' with 'one of the most electrifying middle eights ever committed to record' and named it Single of the Week, and it became a rare foreign-language hit in the UK, the highest-charting French-language song there since 1995. [2] In France it was certified Diamond with reported sales of 1,200,000 copies, part of some 2 million copies sold worldwide. [3]
