Why it's here

It was recorded on a Disklavier, a computer-controlled player piano, and the audible clicking of its mechanism gives the piano performance a quality that sounds human but not quite. [1] The track has appeared in the films Marie Antoinette and Four Lions (for which James rerecorded it with a minor edit) and in the international trailer for Her. [2] Kanye West built his 2010 track "Blame Game" around a rerecorded version of "Avril 14th", made after James objected to an unauthorized timestretched sample, with James receiving writing credit. [3]
