Why it's here
"Emotion" was written by Barry and Robin Gibb and first became a hit in 1978 for Australian singer Samantha Sang, with the Gibb brothers singing backing vocals, before the Bee Gees issued their own recording of it in the 1990s. [1] Destiny's Child covered "Emotion" on their 2001 album Survivor and the single reached the top ten of the US Hot 100 and the top five in the UK, keeping the Gibb composition in circulation for later generations. [2] The song was used over the closing credits of the 2025 film Companion, in the Samantha Sang recording featuring the Bee Gees. [3]
