[1] Steer, a Washington D.C.-born singer-songwriter who started playing guitar while at St Andrews University in Scotland, was profiled in Rolling Stone UK's PlayNext new-artist feature in September 2025. [2] An established artist personally invited Steer on tour after hearing his music, according to RTÉ's September 2025 "Behind the music" profile of him. [3]
