Momentum
This song has not appeared on a Rotation chart, so it has no score and no receipts. The rank history below is the ledger; a score is only published once the momentum run puts it on a chart.
Why it's here
"Duvet" was released in 1998 as the opening theme of the anime Serial Experiments Lain, an unusual choice at the time because it was an English-language song not written for the series. [1] Serial Experiments Lain director Chiaki J. Konaka selected "Duvet" as the opening after reading a translation of its lyrics, and the song became widely known through the show's fanbase. [2] Renewed attention to the track on TikTok from 2021 led bôa to release a new "Duvet" video and to reunite for the first time since 2005, and the band has continued touring and releasing music, including a 2025 Lollapalooza performance of the song.
