"Mategy" ("Ma Tegy") is a track on Cairokee's seventh studio album Supernova, released on 3 August 2026 — the Egyptian band's first album since Roma in 2022 — and issued alongside a short film premiered on YouTube the next day. [1] Cairokee presented Supernova not as standard singles but as a roughly 37-minute mock 1990s television interview with broadcaster Mahmoud Saad on the band's YouTube channel, with the album's songs, including "Ma Tegy," woven through it and also released individually. [2] In Arabic music criticism, "Ma Tegy" was singled out as the album's biggest departure from Cairokee's familiar sound, with Sherif Mostafa's arrangement pushing it toward synthwave and dense electronic production. [3]
