Momentum
This song has not appeared on a Rotation chart, so it has no score and no receipts. The rank history below is the ledger; a score is only published once the momentum run puts it on a chart.
Why it's here
The song won the Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B Performance and was also nominated for Record of the Year at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards. [1] It was featured during the opening scene of Jordan Peele's 2017 film Get Out. [2] The track is built on a recurring slap bass line and wah-wah Telecaster melody over a D minor Rhodes progression, and is based on Bootsy's Rubber Band's 'I'd Rather Be with You'. [3]
In culture
Every place this record has lived. A solid chip states a fact and carries the citation that earns it; a dashed one is a connection somebody drew, and carries their name instead.
