"Wicked Game" was released on Chris Isaak's 1989 album Heart Shaped World and only became a hit after David Lynch used it in his 1990 film Wild at Heart, after which Atlanta radio music director Lee Chesnut put it into rotation. [1] The song has continued to re-enter the UK Official Singles Chart as a catalogue title, logging chart weeks as recently as the 22 January 2026 and 5 February 2026 charts against an original peak of No. 25. [2] Social Distortion recorded a cover of "Wicked Game" for their 2026 album Born To Kill, with frontman Mike Ness telling Noise11 he wanted to bring a "dusty, dirty" version of it to the public. [3]
