"Devil Woman," released as a single on 23 April 1976 from the album "I'm Nearly Famous," was written by Terry Britten and Christine Authors and became Cliff Richard's first US Top 10 entry, peaking at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning a US gold certification. [1] The song remains a fixture of Richard's concerts, appearing in his recent average setlists alongside "Summer Holiday" and "We Don't Talk Anymore" on tour listings for his 2026–2027 dates. [2] The track's occult storyline — a black cat with yellow eyes and a fortune teller consulted to break a curse — has kept it in circulation on Halloween-themed compilations, including a 2026 Warner Music Group/X5 Music Group compilation release. [3]
