Why it's here
"Yellow" was released on 26 June 2000 as the second single from Coldplay's debut album Parachutes and became the band's breakthrough hit, and it remains a fixture of their live show. [1] The song still registers on the Official Singles Chart's extended listings, with Official Charts logging a dated chart appearance for it as recently as the 02/10/2025 chart week. [2] Its catalogue standing was reinforced through 2025 by the 25th anniversary of Parachutes, released 10 July 2000, and by the Music of the Spheres World Tour, which ran 225 shows to 13.1 million attendees and closed with a run at Wembley Stadium.
