Momentum
This song has not appeared on a Rotation chart, so it has no score and no receipts. The rank history below is the ledger; a score is only published once the momentum run puts it on a chart.
Why it's here
The song interpolates Stevie Wonder's 1976 track "Pastime Paradise," and Wonder insisted the lyrics be free of profanity before allowing the sample, giving the track its distinctive clean, choral menace. [1] It served as the lead single for the Dangerous Minds soundtrack, with a music video directed by Antoine Fuqua featuring Michelle Pfeiffer reprising her role from the film. [2] The track won the Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance and two MTV Video Music Awards, and was the top-selling single of 1995 on the Billboard Hot 100. [3]

Every place this record has lived. A solid chip states a fact and carries the citation that earns it; a dashed one is a connection somebody drew, and carries their name instead.
