"Have You Ever Seen the Rain" was issued as a Creedence Clearwater Revival single on 29 December 1970 from the album Pendulum, written and produced by John Fogerty, and peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March 1971 while reaching No. 36 in the UK. [1] The recording has kept returning to Billboard's catalog-driven charts for decades: in July 2021 it spent a second week at No. 1 on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart, the first time any CCR song had topped a Billboard chart. [2] Fogerty re-recorded the song for his album Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years, released 22 August 2025 on Concord after he gained full ownership of his CCR catalog, and the new "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" was one of the album's advance tracks. [3]
