"Enjoy the Silence" was released in February 1990 as the second single from Depeche Mode's album Violator and reached No. 6 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100, the band's highest-charting US single. [1] The song won Best British Single at the 1991 Brit Awards, and Depeche Mode have continued to close or anchor their live sets with it, including on the Memento Mori World Tour that ran from March 2023 through April 2024. [2]
