On August 28, 2026 — days before the August 31 chart date — Dominic Fike announced his album HOW TO QUIT SMOKING for October 9 and released the single "Wallflower," coverage that also noted "Babydoll," first issued in 2018, reached No. 1 on Spotify's Global and US charts this year and entered the Billboard Hot 100 eight years after release. [1] Columbia re-released "Babydoll" as an official single on February 27, 2026 with "White Keys" as the B-side, and its first music video — Fike playing guitar in a car wash, with an extended a cappella outro — was posted in early March 2026. [2] The song's return began after Fike came back from hiatus to play it on his December 2025 Australian tour run, which included Brisbane Riverstage and the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, and by April 2026 he had announced the North American "Comedy Tragedy Parody" tour alongside Tame Impala arena dates. [3]
