Momentum
This song has not appeared on a Rotation chart, so it has no score and no receipts. The rank history below is the ledger; a score is only published once the momentum run puts it on a chart.
Why it's here
Jeff Lynne recreated an authentic American telephone ring on a Moog synthesizer by phoning a US number and tuning oscillators to match its ringing tone, giving the song its distinctive opening. [1] It became ELO's first single to achieve Gold sales figures and their first UK gold award for a single. [2] The song serves as the theme song of the 1977 film Joyride and later featured in Billy Madison and TV series Big Love and Malcolm in the Middle. [3]

Every place this record has lived. A solid chip states a fact and carries the citation that earns it; a dashed one is a connection somebody drew, and carries their name instead.
