"Mockingbird" is Eminem's 2005 single from Encore, addressed by name to his daughters Hailie and Alaina about their childhood and his absence. [1] The song is a standing catalogue title rather than a new release: the UK Official Singles Chart shows it re-entering repeatedly in recent years, including runs in April 2025, June 2025, September–October 2025 and a 13-week stretch from 8 January 2026 to 2 April 2026. [2] Its streaming-era revival was driven by TikTok users lip-syncing the "Daddy's gonna buy you a mockingbird" lyric, and the track's 2005 music video passed one billion YouTube views in April 2024. [3]
