Momentum
This song has not appeared on a Rotation chart, so it has no score and no receipts. The rank history below is the ledger; a score is only published once the momentum run puts it on a chart.
Why it's here
Written by Lindsey Buckingham in the wake of his breakup with Stevie Nicks, it reflects on refusing to repeat past relationship mistakes. [1] The entire track is carried by a single Travis-picked acoustic guitar, restrung every 20 minutes during recording to capture the optimal sound. [2] Its guitar part was used, in a lower key, in a 2014 Bank of America television commercial. [3]
In culture
Every place this record has lived. A solid chip states a fact and carries the citation that earns it; a dashed one is a connection somebody drew, and carries their name instead.
