Momentum
This song has not appeared on a Rotation chart, so it has no score and no receipts. The rank history below is the ledger; a score is only published once the momentum run puts it on a chart.
Why it's here
The song was inspired by artist Ugo Rondinone's giant public text installation "Dog Days Are Over," which Florence Welch passed daily while riding her bike over Waterloo Bridge. [1] It was recorded with no instruments in a studio the "size of a loo" in Crystal Palace, London, with its drum sounds created by banging on the studio walls, and produced by James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco and The Last Shadow Puppets. [2] Its music video won Best Art Direction at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards after being nominated for four MTV VMAs including Video of the Year. [3]
In culture
Every place this record has lived. A solid chip states a fact and carries the citation that earns it; a dashed one is a connection somebody drew, and carries their name instead.
