Why it's here

Grohl wrote the song about his ongoing romance with Louise Post of Veruca Salt, and Post recorded her backing vocals over the phone from Chicago for the track. [1] The Michel Gondry-directed music video is a surreal parody of The Evil Dead and was nominated for Best Rock Video at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards. [2] David Letterman named it his favorite song, crediting it with helping him through recovery from heart surgery, and had Foo Fighters perform it on his first show back in 2000 as well as on his final episode in 2015. [3]
