"I Want to Know What Love Is" reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on February 2, 1985 and stayed there two weeks, remaining Foreigner's only Hot 100 chart-topper. [1] The band is mid-run on a 50th anniversary tour of more than 90 shows that opened in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and is scheduled to end November 1, 2026 in Reno, Nevada, with a U.S. co-headline leg alongside Lynyrd Skynyrd that began July 23, 2026 and founding singer Lou Gramm rejoining for the anniversary. [2] The song was the closing showcase of Foreigner's 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, performed by Kelly Clarkson with Lou Gramm. [3]
