Momentum
This song has not appeared on a Rotation chart, so it has no score and no receipts. The rank history below is the ledger; a score is only published once the momentum run puts it on a chart.
Why it's here
Croce wrote the lyrics after his wife Ingrid told him she was pregnant in December 1970. [1] The arrangement's harpsichord was played on an instrument that producer Tommy West happened to find left behind in the mixing studio. [2] It became Croce's second and final number-one hit in the United States, and the third posthumous Billboard number-one after songs by Otis Redding and Janis Joplin. [3]

Every place this record has lived. A solid chip states a fact and carries the citation that earns it; a dashed one is a connection somebody drew, and carries their name instead.
