[1] Its guitar solo drew on hammer-on and pull-off techniques influenced by Doug Gillard of Guided by Voices, developed after the original demo lacked a solo. [2] The song was Jimmy Eat World's only appearance on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and was the most played song on radio in Canada in 2002. [3]
