"One of Us" was released as a single on November 13, 1995 from Joan Osborne's album Relish and went on to receive Grammy nominations including Record of the Year and Song of the Year. [1] The song served as the theme for the CBS series Joan of Arcadia, which ran from 2003 to 2005, keeping it in circulation well beyond its original chart run. [2] It was also covered by the New Directions cast in "Grilled Cheesus," the third episode of Glee's second season. [3]
