Why it's here
West co-wrote and co-produced the track with Eric Hudson, who arranged live strings over synth strings alongside a chopped-vocal-sample hook and bassline that Hudson considered the song's most significant element. [1] The song features guest vocals from R&B singer Dwele and additional vocals from Sneaky Sound System's Connie Mitchell, who joined the project after a chance meeting with West in Sydney. [2] The song won Best Narrative Video at the 2008 Antville Music Video Awards and was later named by West as his favorite music video of his own career. [3]
