Momentum
This song has not appeared on a Rotation chart, so it has no score and no receipts. The rank history below is the ledger; a score is only published once the momentum run puts it on a chart.
Why it's here
Lorde wrote 'Royals' with producer Joel Little in a week at Golden Age Studios in Auckland, drawing its title from a 1976 National Geographic photo of baseball player George Brett. [1] The song won Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 2014 Grammy Awards, plus the APRA Silver Scroll Award, making Lorde the youngest New Zealander to win a Grammy. [2] It spent nine consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified fourteen-times Platinum in the US, making Lorde, at 16, the youngest female artist in 26 years to top that chart. [3]

Every place this record has lived. A solid chip states a fact and carries the citation that earns it; a dashed one is a connection somebody drew, and carries their name instead.
