The song was produced by Dr. Dre and topped the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks in 2001, becoming Mary J. Blige's first and only number-one single on that chart. [1] The instrumental was originally created for Rakim's unreleased Aftermath album before Dr. Dre sent it to Blige, who wrote to it and later added her own bridge lyrics. [2] A remix featuring Jadakiss and Fabolous appears on the US CD single. [3]
