On 31 August 2026 the song was in the weeks after Men At Work announced their first Australian headline tour in decades — four dates opening at Sydney's State Theatre on 20 October 2026, with tickets going on sale at 10am AEST on Friday 14 August 2026. [1] The 2026 run is billed as coming 45 years after the band's debut album Business As Usual, with Colin Hay fronting an LA-based Men At Work line-up performing "Down Under", "Who Can It Be Now" and "Be Good Johnny". [2] The record's standing lane reflects its history rather than any new event: "Down Under" hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on 15 January 1983 and was adopted as the theme of the Australia II crew's successful 1983 America's Cup challenge, which made it an unofficial Australian anthem. [3]
