[1] The catalog was in front of new audiences in the weeks before August 26, 2026 because the Jackson biopic "Michael," released theatrically on April 24, 2026 and grossing more than $1 billion worldwide, began streaming on Starz on August 10, 2026. [2] On August 17, 2026 it was reported that Spike Lee's annual Michael Jackson Block Party would return to Brooklyn on August 29, 2026, amid renewed interest introducing Jackson's music to a new generation. [3]
