Why it's here
Percussionist Airto Moreira plays a cuica on the track after Simon asked him to find an instrument that sounded like a human voice. [1] The 1988 music video features hip-hop MCs Big Daddy Kane and Biz Markie, plus cameos from athletes Spud Webb and Mickey Mantle and coach John Madden. [2] The song was used in a montage in Wes Anderson's 2001 film The Royal Tenenbaums and later performed live by Simon with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show in 2015. [3]
