Momentum

This song has not appeared on a Rotation chart, so it has no score and no receipts. The rank history below is the ledger; a score is only published once the momentum run puts it on a chart.

Why it's here

Despite Epic Records pushing for a single release and music video, Pearl Jam refused, with Eddie Vedder personally calling radio stations to make sure the label hadn't released it against the band's wishes, because the song felt too personal. [1] The lead guitar work was played by Mike McCready in a style he described as a Stevie Ray Vaughan-influenced 'flowing' approach that Stone Gossard let him create freely. [2] Basketball player Dennis Rodman said the song stopped him from attempting suicide in 1993. [3]

Every place this record has lived. A solid chip states a fact and carries the citation that earns it; a dashed one is a connection somebody drew, and carries their name instead.
