Momentum

This song has not appeared on a Rotation chart, so it has no score and no receipts. The rank history below is the ledger; a score is only published once the momentum run puts it on a chart.

Why it's here

The song used the series finale of Friends after Rachel boards the plane, marking the first time Pearl Jam licensed a song for use in a television show. [1] Without ever being released as a single, the track still reached the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks and Modern Rock Tracks charts in 1994. [2] Allmusic's Steve Huey praised Mike McCready's guitar work as evoking Stevie Ray Vaughan and called the track the sound of a band overflowing with prime material. [3]

Every place this record has lived. A solid chip states a fact and carries the citation that earns it; a dashed one is a connection somebody drew, and carries their name instead.
