Phil Collins was the subject of a wave of coverage in August 2026 after a Times of London interview in which the 75-year-old said an April 2024 hospitalisation from alcohol-related organ failure left his five children summoned to his bedside. [1] That same interview cycle, reported on 26 August 2026, covered his 2024 health crisis and life support, and on 15 August 2026 Collins discussed whether he would release new music, his first album in 16 years. [2] "Another Day in Paradise," released 23 October 1989, is the catalogue title that returns first in such moments: it topped charts internationally, won Best British Single at the 1990 Brit Awards and won Collins and producer Hugh Padgham the Grammy for Record of the Year in 1991. [3]
