Momentum
This song has not appeared on a Rotation chart, so it has no score and no receipts. The rank history below is the ledger; a score is only published once the momentum run puts it on a chart.
Why it's here
The song's Bach-inspired Hammond organ line, borrowing ideas reminiscent of Bach's 'Air on a G String', gives the recording a distinctive baroque-pop character. [1] It was recorded in just two takes with no overdubbing, using session drummer Bill Eyden since the band lacked a regular drummer at the time. [2] Matthew Fisher's authorship of the organ melody was eventually confirmed by a unanimous House of Lords ruling in 2009, decades after the record's release. [3]

Every date here is the date the source chart covers, never the date we fetched it. Sources publish on different lags: the Spotify mirror runs about two days behind, TurnTable publishes weekly. One recording, one history: this table also counts the rows sources published under 1 other handle of this record (remasters, official videos).
