Fake Plastic Trees

Momentum

This song has not appeared on a Rotation chart, so it has no score and no receipts. The rank history below is the ledger; a score is only published once the momentum run puts it on a chart.

Why it's here

Yorke recorded the vocal and acoustic guitar performance alone in the studio after being inspired by seeing Jeff Buckley live, and Colin Greenwood recalled Yorke burst into tears after the third take. [1] An acoustic version of the song appeared in the 1995 film Clueless, helping introduce Radiohead to a larger American audience. [2] Rolling Stone included the song at number 385 on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. [3]

In culture

Every place this record has lived. A solid chip states a fact and carries the citation that earns it; a dashed one is a connection somebody drew, and carries their name instead.
