Why it's here

The song was written by Carpenter with Amy Allen, Steph Jones, and producer Julian Bunetta after a spontaneous, quick writing session in Chailland, France, following a concert in July 2023. [1] It received widespread critical acclaim for its catchy hook, playful lyrics, and infectious groove, and Pitchfork ranked it number 30 on its list of the 100 Best Songs of the 2020s So Far. [2] It became Carpenter's first number-one single on the Billboard Global 200 and topped the charts in more than 20 countries, while winning the Grammy Awards for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Remixed Recording as well as the MTV Video Music Award for Song of the Year.
