Why it's here

Nicks wrote the song's lyrics to express grief over the death of her uncle Jonathan and the murder of John Lennon, which occurred in the same week of December 1980. [1] The song's guitar riff was recorded after a band member suggested emulating The Police's 'Bring On the Night,' even though guitarist Waddy Wachtel had never heard the original. [2] Its guitar riff was later sampled by Destiny's Child in their 2001 hit 'Bootylicious.' [3]
