John Lennon has said hearing this song prompted him to end a five-year hiatus and return to the studio, leading to his final album, Double Fantasy. [1] The song's guitar riff was sampled by Panic! at the Disco for "Don't Threaten Me with a Good Time" on their 2016 album Death of a Bachelor. [2] It was ranked number 147 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, published in 2004. [3]
