The song reached number two on the UK Singles Chart on its 2003 release, becoming the second highest-charting single from a UK band that year. [1] It was featured in a 2012 Super Bowl XLVI commercial for the Samsung Galaxy Note, which sent it to number one on the U.S. iTunes rock chart. [2] In a 2020 poll, Classic Rock readers voted it the "Greatest Song of the Century (so far)." [3]
