[1] The Chicago family group's rendition, issued in 1967 on the Windy C label, originally peaked at No. 63 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 34 on the R&B chart, making it a lesser-known version than either the Miracles' original or Linda Ronstadt's 1978 cover from Living in the USA. [2] The charting recording is the "Buddha Remastered 2001" master, a Curtis Mayfield-produced track compiled on The First Family of Soul: The Best of The Five Stairsteps, released November 6, 2001.
