Momentum
This song has not appeared on a Rotation chart, so it has no score and no receipts. The rank history below is the ledger; a score is only published once the momentum run puts it on a chart.
Why it's here
Recorded at Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia with the house band MFSB backing the O'Jays, the song has been considered one of the first disco songs. [1] It became the O'Jays' first and only number one record on the US pop chart, also topping the R&B chart and reaching No. 9 in the UK, earning a gold certification and a 2006 Grammy Hall of Fame induction. [2] Its lyrics of unity, naming countries like England, Russia, China, Egypt, and Israel, entered the Billboard Hot 100's top 40 the same day the Paris Peace Accords were signed. [3]

Every place this record has lived. A solid chip states a fact and carries the citation that earns it; a dashed one is a connection somebody drew, and carries their name instead.
