Before Maren Morris' vocal was chosen, the song went through demos by Demi Lovato, Camila Cabello, Anne-Marie and many other pop stars, each of whom dropped out for their own reasons before Morris' unreviewed submission was finally discovered and used. [1] The song was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. [2] Its music video, directed by Dave Meyers and choreographed by Nadine "Hi-Hat" Ruffin, premiered during Target's commercial slot at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards and featured 50 dancers plus more than 400 extras.
